Recovery To Discovery

You are here: Home My Story

Tell us your story...

We know there are many of you out there who have wrestled with God about why this has happened to you.

We also are aware that some of you have, by God's grace, become more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.

Talk to us about what God has taught you as you have walked with Him through the process of recovery.

We'd love to hear from you.  We'll post your testimony on our site.

Steve Reynolds’ ABI Testimony As I was driving to work early on a foggy January morning 1998, a tractor-trailer, hauling thirty-seven tones of gravel, drove out in front of me. I never saw it, until my windshield struck, knocking me into the back seat of my car.  When I awoke in the hospital a few weeks later, among many broken bones, I had also sustained brain injuries, which wiped out my short-term memory, altered my personality, obscured my vision, impaired my balance, and impaired my ability to make sound judgements.  However, through much prayer, spiritual healing, and a few years of counseling by a Christian neuro-psychologist, God did an extensive healing work in me, where my vision has improved, my short-term memory is better, and my judgements are no longer unsound.  It was a devastating time for me, for upon losing the use of my left arm, which God promised to heal, it took me a minimum of three years to emotionally get over it. Throughout and beyond, God did a healing work on my acquired brain injury. I cannot say, where God has not healed me a hundred percent, yet, but He’s working on it. This experience has no doubt stretched my faith, and taught me to just keep trusting in Him. As a result of the accident, I have arthritis in both legs, my arm still hurts to this day, and I still suffer from lingering residual affects of my brain injuries. But God is perfecting His power in my weakness.  I keep reminding myself; God meant it all for good. What good? Well, first of all, He wanted to bring glory to Himself through it, and secondly, He wanted to make me grow, spiritually.
